FAQ

Why pick CheckFast over GTmetrix?+

GTmetrix emphasizes waterfalls and screenshots. CheckFast provides a selectable mobile or desktop Lighthouse performance audit, API access, paid score monitoring, and the wider 44-tool catalog.

Do you have a waterfall and filmstrip?+

Not yet. The interactive CheckFast tool focuses on Lighthouse performance metrics and opportunities. If you need waterfall or filmstrip evidence today, use a tool that provides it.

Can I test from multiple locations?+

Not yet. CheckFast tests from a single CheckFast probe today. Multi-location testing is on the roadmap for Pro.

Do you support throttled mobile testing?+

Yes. The mobile Lighthouse path uses simulated 4G with CPU throttling. Results can still differ from GTmetrix because probe locations, Lighthouse versions and runtime environments are not guaranteed to match.

What about CI integration?+

POST /api/v1/speed/check returns a normalized JSON Lighthouse performance result. Drop it into CI to enforce the thresholds your integration chooses.
