.me TLD audit hub
Montenegro's ccTLD — popular for personal portfolios, blogs and the about.me-style site.
The .me TLD is the country code for Montenegro, delegated in 2007 after Montenegro became a UN member state, and operated since 2008 by doMEn (a partnership including Afilias and the Government of Montenegro). It found global product-market fit immediately as a personal-brand suffix — about.me, the dating app cuddle.me, and many freelance designer/developer portfolios use it as their primary domain. The registry imposes no residency requirement, and pricing is mid-tier. Personal pronouns ('it's me', 'find me') translate cleanly into branded URLs, which is why many viral consumer apps still register .me variants alongside their .com. SEO treats .me as a generic gTLD due to its open marketing; geotargeting can be set explicitly. WHOIS, DNSSEC and registry-lock are on parity with major gTLDs. Email reputation on .me is broadly fine although legacy filters occasionally apply small penalties; this matters less now than it did in 2010, but DMARC enforcement is still recommended.
